The note on the wall that reads: "It is not allowed to perform songs of the following artists (the list consists mostly of easy-listening stuff played by Russian pop-groups), fine - 50 Ls" is not a joke - I do not want this stuff to be played here. There is a lot of discos in Riga and there must be at least one place in this city where fans of this kind of music can relax and enjoy authentic atmoshpere. The names of cocktails are absolutely corresponding: "Black Magic Woman", "Lady Jane", "Beach Boys" etc.

The interior design demonstrates the history of rock music development in this part of the world. Photos on the walls, sometimes of poor quality, show mostly local musicians. Some of them left Latvia, some still play and I am always glad to see these dinosaurs playing on this stage. I also often invite young musicians and on Sundays we have jam-sessions.

Actually with this club I have not discovered America - in every Western city clubs normally do not mix music styles and there are dozens of blues clubs, jazz clubs, techno clubs... But I am proud that "Saksofons" exists here. I often hear foreign speech in our club and I hope to see more guests of Riga in "Saksofons".
