What is Inter EUnet?
InterEUnet  provides a direct permanent connection to the Internet via EUnets high speed, high capacity TCP/IP network.

Who should use it?
InterEUnet is designed for use by corporations and large institutions that want high capacity access to Internet services for large numbers of users.

It is the ideal solution for corporate network managers needing a permanent connection to the Internet, or wanting to host their own Web server(s), and who have more incoming than outgoing traffic. An InterEUnet/Access subscription gives you a 24 hour-a-day dedicated leased line connection to the Internet enabling you to connect virtually unlimited numbers of computers and workstations (PC, MAC or UNIX).

What is  the technical overview of Inter EUnet?
24 hour-a-day, high-speed, dedicated digital or analogue line to the Internet; ideal for heavy traffic situations

Access to all Internet networks reachable via the EUnet . InterEUnet offers a dedicated digital link to the Internet, at a speed of your choosing - normally 64Kb or faster. This service connects corporate networks to the Internet allowing customers to extend their networking within their international operations, and beyond. Naturally, it also offers full access to all Internet services and features, including EUnetMail & News and access to the World Wide Web.

What You Need
Customers of InterEUnet have a permanent, dedicated connection to the Internet with the ability to connect virtually unlimited numbers of computers and workstations from your own site(s).

Your requirements are:

  • a subscription to the InterEUnet service
  • compatible computer systems (generally PCs, Macintoshes or UNIX based computers)
  • a permanent leased circuit
  • a router to control traffic flows from your in-house systems to the Internet

What is DialEUnet?
DialEUnet is a dial-up connection for a network of computers (PC, MAC or UNIX).

DialEUnet offers a flexible way for companies and groups of users to access the Internet. As the name suggests, it is a dial-up service, but with the option to connect via standard analogue or digital telephone lines direct from your site to the telephone exchange. DialEUnet offers full access to all Internet services and features, including EUnetMail & News and access to the World Wide Web.

Who Should Use DialEUnet?
DialEUnet is ideally suited to multiple user access sites, typically in the small to medium enterprise range (SMEs). It is aimed to offer its users the flexibility of connection options, and appropriate pricing options which can be changed over time as usage patterns emerge. It is the ideal solution for LAN users needing fast and reliable access to the Internet via modem.

What is  the technical overview of DialEUnet?
Access to all Internet networks reachable via the EUnet

E-mail addresses: as many as you want within your own domain.
Mail routing via the backbone (delivery to your site using the POP3 protocol). Mail is stored until you fetch it Or transferred in bulkt to your site using SMTP or UUCP.

Access to USENet News on our server.
Running of a (primary) nameserver for your domain on our equipment for a limited number of hosts

What You Need
Users of DialEUnet dial into the service via a modem over normal telephone lines. Depending on the options you choose you will need the following items.

For modem connections:

  • a subscription to the DialEUnet service
  • compatible computer systems (generally a PC, Macintosh or UNIX based computer)
  • a modem or router for each system to be used to access the Internet or a single modem on your LAN gateway machine
 

  PersonalEUnet

PersonalEUnet is a dial-up connection for a single computer. This is the simplest Internet connection with a PC or MAC and a modem via the public telephone network. The ideal solution for small and medium sized companies needing single machine access to the Internet. PersonalEUnet is designed as an inexpensive IP connection to the Internet. It offers full access to all Internet services and features, including EUnetMail & News and access to the World Wide Web.

Who Should Use PersonalEUnet?
PersonalEUnet is the ideal starting point for SME's as well as larger companies to explore the Internet. PersonalEUnet is available either as a flat-fee account or as an account with limited access time. Off course the PersonalEUnet connection is fully suited in order to explore the WorldWide Web, send an receive E-mail, participate in Usenet-newsgroups ans much more

PersonalEUnet is bundled with EUnetTraveller functionnality. With this unique service, mobile Internet users have local access not only to your local access points, but to over 400 access points abroad in Europe (including Eastern Europe), North-America and Asia-Pacific.

Whats the technical  overview of PersonalEUnet?

Browser & e-mail software for Windows 3.1, Windows95 and MAC operating systems.
Access to all Internet networks reachable via the EUnet network (as far as acceptable-use policies permit).
