EUnetTraveller Service Extends Coverage

MEDIA INFORMATION - For Immediate Release

EUnetTraveller brings mobile Internet access to Sweden and the Czech Republic

Amsterdam, the Netherlands (18 February, 1997) - EUnet, Europe's leading provider of value-added Internet services, today announced the availability of EUnetTraveller in Sweden and the Czech Republic. Since its launch in February 1996, the EUnetTraveller service has been frequently extended and is now available in a total of 26 countries.

Although the Internet is a global network with access points around the globe, travellers have so far always been required to make long-distance calls to their home provider in order to access the Internet, receive and send mails, upload customer data, forward sales leads or download business documents.

With EUnetTraveller, instead of making long distance phone calls, Internet users can take full advantage of local access rates and make significant savings by dialling in to any of EUnet s 304 Traveller-enabled POPs (Points of Presence) across 26 countries.

Just like GSM roaming makes mobile phone users reachable across the world-wide GSM network, EUnetTraveller makes the global Internet truly global.

In order to meet the high-quality service expectations from its business clientele, the EUnetTraveller service comes included with technical support in all EUnetTraveller countries, in both the national language and English.

EUnetTraveller can be used with virtually any laptop or desktop computer to connect to the Internet, the World-Wide-Web and even private Intranet and Extranets - in short everything the Internet is being used for, whether in the office, at home or while travelling around the country or abroad.

Any current Internet user can access their existing email with EUnetTraveller, irrespective of which service provider they currently use.

The service has been designed to make it as easy as possible get on-line.

Subscriptions can be made via the World Wide Web - http://traveller.EU.net - subscribers pay by credit card and can use the service immediately. It is also possible to subscribe by phone by contacting the EUnetTraveller Hotline number on: +32 (0)16 39 80 80.

About EUnetTraveller

The EUnetTraveller service is a completely different approach to offering Internet connectivity for users on the move. It provides users with full mobile access to all Internet services, including electronic mail, file transfer, Usenet News and the World Wide Web. All that Internet users require to use the EUnetTraveller service is a computer with a modem and an EUnetTraveller account. With these, users of the service can dial into the Internet - often for no telephone charge or just the cost of a local call. Customers can pay for the service with most major credit cards, or via traditional means. It's simple to use and sensibly priced, with just a one time sign up cost of only $39.95 which includes the first 90 minutes on-line (after that it's just 14 $cents per minute, with no hidden charges).
